WSQ Perform Workplace First Aid
On completion of this module, trainees will have the knowledge and application skills in demonstrating workplace first aid and apply the skills acquired in the workplace.
This training course is meant for security officers, company emergency response team member, Landscape Supervision and Retail Operation personnel who wishes to acquire life- saving techniques.
Participant is assumed to possess:
Be able to speak and listen English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 4.
Be able to read and write English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5.
Be able to appreciate numeracy at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 4.
CE1 - Following emergency action principles
CE2 - Demonstrating first aid for breathing emergencies
CE3 - Demonstrating CPR and AED skills
CE4 - Demonstrating first aid for unconscious casualty
CE5 - Demonstrating first aid for heat disorders, bites and string
CE6 - Demonstrating techniques for controlling bleeding, and first aid for wounds
CE7 - Demonstrating first aid for fractures and soft tissue injuries
CE8 - Demonstrating first aid for head, spine and lower limbs injuries
CE9 - Demonstrating first aid for burns and scalds
CE10 - Demonstrating first aid for poisonings
